Ahh man.

Just spent the whole week reading the thread lunch break at a time, hell of a project and a mad amount of hours and work.

Hopefully the sale is for the right reasons and not because it's all gone wrong. But either way, congratulations on one hell of a project!

We're 8 weeks into owing an Edwardian property we hope to be out family home. Nothing like the scale it terms of size or work needed, but it's not had anything done bar a new kitchen for 40-50 so will be a full re-wire re-plumb, redecorate, repairing and replacing improvements made in the 70's etc.

I’m pretty sure I saw the listing prior to the OP buying it and it was sub £200k in its run down state.

Its being sold as a proven business but I’m not sure just as a House it would even be worth £700k - big houses not near the major cities in Scotland are bargains.

Blimey, I'm sure this won't be a decision that was taken lightly.

Wow! Just wow!

Just spent half the weekend going right through this thread.

Quite a twist to see it on sale at the end: I hope that is for good reasons, there has been an immense amount of effort put into turning this into a place of beauty. Maybe another crazy project?

Wow my 4 bed just outside Leeds is worth the same, amazing house have loved this thread.

Be nice if the OP gave us an update but might have personal reasons not to do.

Completely empty and reduced in price by £250k!

Looks like a very sad fire sale now.

I'm sure I read on here that the couple had split up hence the sale.

The house is the kind of house which makes you want to move location for though and that seems like an amazing deal. It looks a bit sad in the rightmove photos - it needs furniture and a big family to fill it.

I'll try not visit any more PHrs who have set up a B&B! All was going well, I visited, and that was the end!

How they got a full size pool table up to the top converted attic I will never know. The small pipes on the right in the pics are all that remain of a nice bar.

This house needed 10 times the work mine did and the rate at which the OP worked through things I still find staggering.

Such a shame to see it empty, for the money that is a serious amount of house.

To be frank, there’s a bit of grief for the op involved in this. Instead of keep shunting it, let the thread die?

I’m sure he’d appreciate it.
