Afternoon all,

I have a house with more than one shower, they are all fed by my hot water tank (gas), the showers in each bath room are identical, just two knobs, one for water flow speed and the other for temperature, essentially a mixer tap i guess

My problem is that one of them is running lukewarm. The other showers and hot taps are fine so the boiler and tank system must be OK.

Is this something that is likely to be fixable or will I need a new unit? Problem then being that I have no make or model of the showers either!!

Sorry in advance!

Sounds like the ceramic cartridge is either blocked or worn. Thus not allowing adequate flow of hot water.

Some of the thermostatic mixer valves have gauze filters in. I've had to clean crap out of mine before.
Don't know what your mixer looks like , but the filters in this mixer are number 6 on the drawing.

I've had 2 thermostatic valves go over the last 30 years. Both were just simple remove and replace the entire unit.

Never just replaced or cleaned a filter but then again I assume some are all in one?
