I've got a new large shed but i'm concerned it wouldn't take someone very long to simply unscrew the hinges and have away with whatever they like.

They are screwed on with anti tamper screws but a determined scrote could have tools.

I know if they want in they will but i just want to make it as difficult as possible. It's covered by CCTV too but that's a minor deterrent at best.

Thoughts?

David.

Use mushroom headed coach bolts, with square shoulders, with the nut on the inside - assumes you are using tee band hinges?

Didn't think hinges could be so technical lol. I'll maybe get some pics.

It will make complete sense when you see what he means, you can't pull drill or twist those types of bolts.

I have fitted these Chubb hinged bolts on all doors with external hinges.

You can get concealed hinges so nothing shows on the outside but these are a) more expensive and b) more complex to fit.

Speaking from bitter experience they don't mess about with specific drills / tools - a big crowbar will open 99% of shed / garage doors
