I guess this subject is best in DIY, but as it may be car related (don't laugh) maybe it should be in car finishing.
Anyway, I enjoy using a brush to paint and can get a perfect finish - yes, even on a car.
So here's the question....... is it possible to get a good metallic, brush applied, finish? A friend of mine had (according to him, I've not seen it) excellent results using a product called Bedec Multi Surface Paint - given that he isn't the most meticulous (ie probably didn't degrease etc) his decription of a good, durable finish on a PVC door which has been knocked about a bit since sounds impressive. This is a water based paint available in many colours including silver and gold. So maybe this paint, followed up with a 2-pack poly varnish will get a perfect metallic finish?
Anyone know of other brush-applied metalics?

Ardenbrite always used to be the best metallic but the modern version is £80.00 a litre and that to my mind is crazy money. I have used the Bedec MSP on small items and it was ok.
