Am I OK to store my coals as as they came delivered?

Hi,

I've pretty much put them towards the entrance of my small wood store. Unsure whether the damp conditions are detrimental to the quality of the coal.

I do have a coal bin with a lid for the bags In use and the coals are dry as and when I use them. But the excess bags I just leave as per the picture.

Should be fine right?

Well it doesn't soak up water so should be ok, but I'd cut the tops from the bags to let it vent. That's probably surface moisture from when it was bagged from being stored openly outside.

Coal will burn just fine sopping wet.
