Having just very recently fitted a expensive shiny new Bathstore porcelain basin, we are very surprised to now find grey marks in the basin bottom.

It has never happened before, certainly never happened with the inferior quality suite we have just replaced. So on contacting the store we are told it is "normal" and the reason is tapping your razor on the bottom of the basin, nothing to worry about, just buy a "Plumbers rubber" and apply a bit of elbow grease...!

So before I make a fool of myself and rant and rave at the staff face to face. I am calling on the sensible PH experts to ask has anyone else experienced this problem, or as I suspect, am I being bullshatted?

Same here, though not from Bathstore. Modern porcelain doesn't like metallic objects it seems. However I didn't know there was a cure.
