What paint to paint wooden outdoor playhouse with?

Ideally something quick-drying. But then also somewhat weatherproof (doesn't have to be perfect). I'm guessing emulsion will not last at all. But gloss paint is a nightmare and takes 3 weeks to dry. Ideas?

currently undercoating with normal dulux undercoat and then are going to use gloss paint on top. Some pictures of the 'shades' type wood stains etc showed that the wood grain still showed through easily ie looked a bit like a fence panel which wasn't ideal. We want an actual painted finish (we decided). Current progress with grey undercoat:

Well since this threads been bumped up, I can report he gloss paint has held up fine
