Roller Garage Doors - Which make is the best?
Discussion
A subjective question, I know - but there's a wide range on the market.
The design of our garage pretty much rules out any other type of automatic door, hence going down the roller route. I'd rather pay a extra for one that is well insulated, reliable and quiet (one will be used everyday) than go for a low cost item that is 'nearly' as good. Grateful for any recommendations! Also, a good garage door supplier in Herts region.
Thanks.

A very recent SWS Excel installed (this month) and it's brilliant. But even more so when you think that it was a fellow PH member that helped me source it. He is called Doorman on here but he runs http://www.prestigegaragedoors.co.uk/ I contacted them via PH and he said I was too far for him. Normally I would have thought that would be the end of the conversation. But on this occasion Simon didn't give up. I dealt with Prestige over email and they in turn got SWS, the company, itself to come around, survey and install the door for me. Not bad for a company that doesn't deal with end customers! And to top it all, I got a fully installed price far cheaper than 4 other local companies.
Just a final update on this one. A pair of SWS roller doors now installed, thanks to the excellent (and speedy) service from PH member Doorman: http://www.prestigegaragedoors.co.uk/ Thanks for pointing me in Simon's direction. If you're reading this because you're looking at getting a roller door, I thoroughly recommend him.Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
