Structural wall removal

I need a wall removing between a kitchen and morning room but don't know the order of doing things.
I assume I should go to a structural engineer who will provide details of the rsj required. I can then get quotes from builders to fit it as suggested by structural engineer. Is that right?

Thanks for replies. There is a wall above the one requiring removal and joists above run as if resting on the wall.
