So I live in a semi detached and the neighbours kid thinks it's OK to kick the football in the front room on the hard floor, he's in there and they live in the back extension so don't hear it much. We get on well with them and I have asked them from time to stop which they tell him to but it's getting too often now and I feel a solution is needed to dampen the thudding out.

Anyone had anything similar and got a solution? Do I need to put some dampening under the floor or is it a false wall job?

Suggested he brings his son round to hear the noise but didn't think it would help and that asking him to stop would be enough but it just isn't really.

He's taken the balls off him and hid them which he then goes and finds and starts again. The dad has even admitted to hearing it himself but not being bothered about doing anything which is annoying. Not sure what more I can do other than come up with a solution on my side. He's getting an Xbox for Christmas so maybe that will stop it or make it worse if he's playing fifa then plays with the football....
