Electric or Plumbed Rads?

We are looking to get some heating for occasional use loft conversion/guest 3rd bedroom and hallway which is a bit colder than anticipated. Rest of house is gas powered central heating.

Laminated flooring will be replaced with carpet at same time probably, so do we get more plumbed in radiators, or go for modern electrics, Haverland etc?

At the moment I am thinking electric for loft roof, gas for hallway and not sure for guestroom. Not had quotes yet but just getting a feel for what is generally accepted wisdom on gas vs electric.
