Wall mounting TV on plaster

We’ve just moved into our new house and invested In a couple of new TV units, which whilst they look great are not going to be ideal for actually watching TV as the missus prefers style of substance!
Ive had the idea of wall mounting the TVs at pretty much a normal height over the units on some extendable swivel mounts which should solve the challenge of being able to rotate the TV to suit all viewing angles.

One of the walls that we’ll be fixing to has what looks to be about an inch worth of what I think may be dot and dab plaster, which if I’ve uploaded the image right you should be able to see here.

We’ve all heard horror stories of these mounts falling off the wall and taking your tv with them so I wanted to know if I’ll be safe to just drill through into the brick and use the standard wall plugs and bolts of if I need something more specialist to hold it.
A thought was to maybe get a longer wall plug and some longer coach style bolts?

If your planning on definitely using the swivel mount then I'd go for m8 anchor bolts minimum

Just had a look at those look like good pieces of kit, probably worth for the other one which will be straight into the brick also.
Just a question, will the inch or so of dot and dab not affect how they work?
I’d be tempted to go for the 900mm for the plastered wall and maybe 750 for the brick?

M8 looks to be a 14 mom drill bit?

What is the weight of the tv ?

I’ve just hung this one off a 12mm mdf door without issue. TV weighs 9kg.

So the TV weights 17.5 kg and the stand probably another 10, so a fair weight!
For the masonry only one I’m going to go belts and braces and get some M8 anchor bolts.

For the dot and dab I’m getting more and more confused, seem to be finding different solutions everywhere I look. Thinking Rigifix looks a good option as long as it’s flush with the plaster?

Thanks, have looked at those in the M8 variant actually, rather belts and braces than see your new TV shattered on the floor!
