It's Caturday- Post some cats (vol 3)
Discussion
This is my cat. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
I've had her a couple of years, and got her as a rescue from Battersea. She had been abandoned when a previous owner had moved, and left locked up alone without food in a flat for almost three weeks! Vets' estimates put her at around 3-3.5yrs old.
As a result, she remains pretty timid, and takes a few hours to warm to people (or to stop running and hiding under the bed). However, she's the happiest and most affectionate cat I've ever known - constant requests for human contact, followed by 'flopping' against/onto any body part in sight (a bit of a shock when it's my head at 3am!).
She's petrified of the front door (and the alarm clock, and the oven timer, ad nauseum), so she's an indoor cat for the moment. She has a lovely, sunny top-floor flat to potter around all day, and enjoys nothing more than lying in the sun for hours on end (with periodic manic moments when a bird passes a little too close to the window).
Here she is, surveying her surroundings:

Is Tuco short for Tuco Benedicto Pacífico Juan María Ramírez?
Lovely looking boy.
Yes absolutely.Lovely looking boy.
Named after my favourite character in my favourite movie.
Well spotted!
'I've been thinking Blondie, the neck at the end of the rope is mine, I run the risks, so next time I want more than half.'
You'll know what follows, one of the best lines in the film.

Two weeks in and our rescues are wandering the house pretty happily though still dodge any attempts to stroke them.
We have had to deal with tapeworm though in the last week which should have been kept on top of by the rescue centre. It's a nightmare trying to get already nervous and unsettled cats to take large horrible smelling tablets!
Anyway, Gus enjoying his first proper sunbathe in at least a year.

And even scaredy cat Molly is getting around
