Bob is starting to settle in. still quite scared of my OH, but definitely spending less time hiding and more time sleeping and playing. very bribe-able as long as it's bikkits, and we've had cuddles, purrs and belly rubs as a result. next goal is to try to get him to come for a cuddle without bribes!

Agreed, if there is one thing a cat cannot stand its being ignored! As far as they are all concerned the Universe rotates around them!

It's also a body langauge thing with cats, that's why non cat people always end up with puss sat on their laps.

Well, I hope so. It's only been 5-6 weeks since we got him back, and I don't believe he'd ever experienced affection - only fear and hunger, poor bugger.

But I'm really pleased with progress so far - one step at a time, right?

Thanks for all the kind words - he really is completely gorgeous!

He is a fantastic looking cat, lovely eye colour.

He sounds a bit like my rescue Ben, he was very gnarly when I first got him, had issues with his food which required him to go on specific food and I don't think his first home gave him any affection.

Once his food was sorted he became a much friendlier cat, but still has a bit of an angry streak in him. He gets flustered very easily and is a bit high strung bless him.

Wow, that is one heck of a cat! Certainly has the Pink Panther nose and a bit of Bagheera as well.

It looks dangerously intelligent...!

What breed exactly?

Lola looks familiar geeks. You didn't used to live near Beaconsfield did you?
No sorry, we got her from Houghton Regis, her dad is a Bengal and her mum is part Bengal and part something else! She has taken after both, has her dads massive eyes and her mums lack of size, some stripes in her that are well blended with her coat so they are hard to see but the vet identified them as Bengal markings!

She has a real attitude, and is fantastic fun and very affectionate to me and only me which upsets the wife a great deal as technically its her cat hehe
Ah, so. The little female smoky coloured cat round here - now moved away - was my Boris's little chum. She led him on up trees he would not normally have tried. Little hussy! biggrin

Introducing Percy . . .

13 weeks old, his mum was taken in by a shelter and had a litter of 5. Hopefully a friend for our 2 year old cat Stewie, who lost his brother in an RTA back in the summer. Seems to be working out well so far and 'Uncle' Stewie has taken to his mentoring duties admirably smile

Erm, well what I meant to say was that the creature transcends the mere human interpretation of gender...
