That is a hell of a set up but i have to ask why?
(if you live in the middle of a roundabout or have a very timid or rare moggy then i would understand but otherwise still why?)
Because you give a st about your neighbours rather than being perfectly naive to the fact that letting Tiddles go round and st in their garden is not acceptable I wish more cat owners would be as responsible. It's also more considerate of the local wildlife / song birds.(if you live in the middle of a roundabout or have a very timid or rare moggy then i would understand but otherwise still why?)

Firstly:
- if you care so much about the songbirds and local wildlife then you would have a wild garden and brush areas which would mean the cat st wouldn't show up on your imaculate and not wildlife friendly at all stripey lawn.
- i didn't ask you did i? Unless you made that cage and then sold it to lenats31 your opinion is worth, well, cat st to me.
- if you don't like cats don't come into cat related threads, we will never care about your gripes, it is like trying to convince me that creationism is valid, i view your issues from across a divide so large that i merely pity you for not thinking like me and hope you don't get a chance to infect others with your particular breed of nonsense.
Someone's a bit tetchy
Didn't say I don't like cats, I'm fine with them, I don't choose to own one however. What I don't like about them is what cats that are not mine choose to do in my garden, that's all. The odd one may be okay but we're surrounded by the things and they all seem to use our garden as some sort of thoroughfare and congregation point.
I'm sure if I had a dog and it jumped over the neighbours fence every it need a poo it wouldn't go down well
Slightly O/T but can you how do you get your own cats to piss/st in your own garden rather than the neighbours?
My neighbours would never complain but it's a PITA for me as I have to collect the female if she jumps the fence as the ground is higher on my side than the neighbours and she can't get back hence I have to go round burglar style to lift her over, they have a gate.

It could be worse - next doors pair of cats have decided that my cats food isn't enough, so have taken to raiding my fridge
I can keep him out in winter - microcip activated catflap, windows & doors closed, but this time of year they take any oppertunity to dart in any open window or door. Me being in dosent make a differenance unless I'm witin sight.
What I really need is a sentry water pistol with cat recognition, but failing that can anyone recomend a cat proof fridge lock?

How the hell are cats raiding your fridge?!
No idea how they do it, or even if its one or both of them, but went upstairs to do some chores (and browse pistonheads) stupidly leaving patio door open.Came down, cats bowls had been licke clean (my cat had been sitting next to me the whole time) the fridge door was open and my supper dragged halfway to the cat flap
Oh the owner of the demons in cat form - the local CofE curate. And I have spoken to him about it.

Many reasons - one is the one OP mentions;(if you live in the middle of a roundabout or have a very timid or rare moggy then i would understand but otherwise still why?)
Other reasons:
A steady rise in abuse cases. One such person lives a few yards down the Road. A certified hunter and free roaming cat hater. He catches them and shoots them. I would be a Sorry ar.e if I "fed" my cats to such a person. Police cannot arrest him bevarer they need hard evidence.
I live on a very busy Road - cat's nature is not to be flattend by cars
There is a very busy crossroads too right next to my house .
I have chosen to have cats as pets. My neighbors didn't and dont want to
Cats can Best be compare with a 2-year-old child. I would never let a 2-year-old outside unattended
Yes, three of my cats have a pedigree
There are many more reasons

You know such a person lives down your road??! You have done well, in your shoes I'd have "had a word" with him down a dark alley....Since dick-cat is easily spooked (used to run off when the kitchen light came on but he eventually got used to the security light at the back gate) I've bought one of these:
http://www.talkingproducts.com/recordable-cards-gi...
It's not for outdoor use but hopefully being in a couple of ziploc bags it will be ok.
I've recorded a few different sounds on to it such as the backdoor handle being rattled and me speaking (I stopped short of recording "fk OFF YOU SIAMESE bd!") and have placed this right next to the back gate where we have a little cut-out in the bottom of it to allow ours to come and go, as although our garden is not catproof and they can get in over the fence, this is the easiest and quickest route in and out so hopefully this will spook him enough into staying out.
We shall see...
