I am in the exact same situation. She now wants to lay on my chest when I am in bed, so I can't see the TV and can pretty much hear just purring. And using her claws to stay there too.....

I am hoping as it is Sunday she will be changing soon. But what is amusing is we have a cat rug for her so she doesn't mess up other things so my OH has to womble around moving the cat bed regularly.......
