Oh, that was a complete guess! Is it enough or should there be a name (because obviously I have no idea what it is called!)

I don't think that is enough - Quebec is massive (6 times the size of the UK).

Good! I would have felt wrong 'winning' it when I guessed.

I'm guessing one of the reserves in Quebec?

It's not a reserve. The place is named after a town in Yorkshire, and there is a heritage railway line which runs to another place named after a different town in Yorkshire.

Must be southern Quebec, as almost everywhere there is named in French. I know there's a Wakefield near Ottawa, which amused me as I was born in the original Wakefield.

So it's in Quebec but named after Yorkshire? That's got to narrow down Quebec a lot most of it there has French names, are we in border country, nearly out of Quebec, I'd guess, towards Ottawa (there's not a lot going north or East).

So some smaller river, it's too small to be the main river, towards the west of Quebec province.

And it's called... Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield? smile

Bingo! It's Wakefield. Nice little town. And the railway goes to Hull.

You were so close. It's outskirts of Ottawa, and the river is the Gatineau.
