In terms of getting into the big clubs, is it a case of turning up on the night or can you buy tickets in advance? I don't really want to roll up and have to wait for 3 hours to get in.

In terms of accommodation, are there some semi-decent hotels or is a villa a better option? I'm thinking hotel for fraternising but villa for peace and quiet and long lie-ins...

The clubs are almost always ticketed, there will be loads of people trying to sell tickets to you in the towns.

There are some very nice hotels if you're willing to pay top dollar, just book early. A villa is good but getting to and from them can be a PITA if you're planning to go out every night.

Hotel, you'll only be using it for shagging anyway. Plus a villa is too isolated, so you can't make friends with the group of girls in the next room.

This is the reason I'm going - been on my list of stuff to do for ages and never found the time.
I am 38 though...and I'm going with a couple of spods younger than me that are never ever ever going to pull hehe

Er, so yes I guess so smile

That's my thinking. A villa will be a pain to get to and from, with no chance encounters either...

Sounds like a PH opportunity here. Lets all go, then when OP gets to the club with a gaggle of young ladies in tow, everyone in there can turn and cheer and point at him!

We could do that in either a "Yeah your a hero!" Type of way ensuring definate winky wetness at a later hour from any number of the gaggle of hotties.

Or a chorus of "HA Ha LOSER!" ensuring Flashman levels of floppyness.

Reception style dependent upon whether or not he chips in to 600 tickets.....

I'm erring on the side of expecting something more like the Kevin & Perry floater scene hehe

yes As said above, Big club nights are always ticketed.

My advice is get friendly with a couple of the reps working out there. They get all tickets at 50% or less. Luckily we normally know someone out there working the summer.

Hotels/Villas.

Depends what you want. If you want to go Crazy and don't want to sleep for a week then go to Ibiza Rocks/ Club Parioso. There's a Dj round the pool from 7am most days till late evening.
When you Get back in for 7am, As soon as your head hits the pillow the Pool DJ starts again bangheadhehe

I can see why some people rent villas or stay out of town, But then they always feel as though they missed a bit of the "magic", although as I get older I consider a villa more and more every year.

Enjoy smile

Ah God I really can't wait.
Thanks for the tips - keep them coming.

What time do the clubs open? Someone was saying midnight is normal...?

Yeah, Your big clubs open about midnight. But the bus that picks you up to take you there are normally around half 1 to get you there for 2.

Little tip, Get to your required merry state before you go in and buy a bottle of water from the guy selling it out of his car boot outside the club. We didn't the first time because he was charging £5/500ml bottle. Inside it was £20. 2 double vodkas were ~£60 yikes

Sounds like my idea of hell and I'm younger than you! Fair play though, sounds like you'll have a riot.

Get thee to a party boat, one of the good ones.

Ive not been but some friends did, they got on a day/evening party boat with Judge Jules or someone DJing (I know SFA about it but it was someone dead-good) and the pictures are unreal. Looked like the best time you can possibly have out there.

I went with a couple of mates a few years ago and was horrified at the entrance prices to the clubs, most were £50-£75 entrance then you've got ridiculously priced drinks when you get there.

Get yourself there. It's truly amazing. I was there this summer, met up with a few DJ's I know.

I absolutely hate places like Magaluf, Benidorm, Kos, etc I would rather stick pins in my eyes than go to one of these 'party capitals' so I was a little apprehensive about Ibiza, by fk me was wrong.

Stunning place, beautiful scenery, nice people, amazing bars/clubs, and suprisingly few chavs/louts/morons. They simply can't afford it and stick to places like the above.

I totally loved it.

Don't stay in a hotel, get yourself a bling villa with a view, photos below taken from the one I rented, amazing sunset smile

With a villa you can totally chill and do whatever the fk you want without bothering anyone else or being bothered by other people. We were coming back in from nights out and carrying on partying in the pool and such like.... At this point clothes were optional... wink

Downside, it's expensive. I don't know what your budget is but expect to pay £10-70 to get in a club and £8-10 a beer when you are in there!

Get a copy of DJ mag and Mixmag before you go so you can see what's on.

I recommend KM5, Mambo, Cafe del Mar, DC10, Ibiza Rocks, Eden, Pacha, Space and Privilege.

You should also rent a car and visit the far end of the island, you will find beautiful little towns and beaches.

I'm going back next year!

Yeah, I was aware of the prices of entry and drinkies so that's not a problem.
