Where to start?
First off, be cool. This is a very cool city that is is quite sophisticated (though not apparently obvious when you arrive). You cannot get away with what you would in Gateshead, Bournemouth, etc. Drunken louts are not tolerated or treated well in these parts.
Sofia has some of the most stunning women our maker made. If they spot you are British, they will come and talk. This is because they are interested in the British culture and language. It does not mean they would like to have jiggy jiggy with you. That said, Bulgarian women do appreciate and respond to a direct approach. (Apparently).
Head for Vitoshia Blvd, Most of the clubs, bars are situated in or around there (start from the Shereton Hotel end). Lots of skin bars and most are very pleasant (apparently) but see those chaps on the door, they're from the Russian part of Sofia if you get my drift. Basically, don't arse about!
There is the most brilliant Irish Bar just off Vitoshia Bld but cannot remember what it's called. It's in some bloke's flat - just ask around and you;ll find it.
Have fun, It's an easy place to have fun but just don't be berks!

Oh, and I would suggest you avoid the Angel Bar in the basement of the Sheraton unless lovely naked ladies are your thing.;)
