Touring Northern France - any recommendations?
Discussion
Looking for some advice please. I am thinking of visiting the Northern French coast in the summer, taking the 911 with two kids (8 years, 5 months and the OH). We have been to Le Touquet before and really liked it, however we didn't venture further west. Are there any interesting places to stay maybe up to 80-100 miles further (don't want to go too far as the passenger seat isn't particularly comfy for OH with the baby seat in back) along the coast? Any ideas appreciated! Intending to take the tunnel so obviously approaching from Calais.
About 2.5 hours from Calais.
Honfleur very pretty
Bayeax and the D-Day beaches. Courseulles-Sur-Mer (Juno Beach) and Franceville-Plage are excellent beaches for wind-surfing etc.
Further than 100 miles but the autoroute makes the extra distance easy.

I had 5 days R+R last year in the Caterham.
Did the Dieppe Crossing, so that's a good place to start. The kids will love the annual Kite Festival which coincided with my trip.
Another thumbs up for Honfleur, and a ride to Pont L'Eveque ( great market ).
The Le Mans sites are saying that Rouen is a traffic nightmare with roadworks but easily avoided if you keep on the coast roads.
Have a great time.

Thanks for the replies, will look into all of these suggestions. Also considering Jersey on the fast ferry, I've been several times but the others haven't - sure they'll love Jersey so that's another serious contender.
40mph speed limit across the island and you're going in a 911, seems a bit of a waste . . . Montreuil Sur Mer is an interesting village.

Once a seaside port, it's now 10 miles inland, but with lovely sea walls still.
Close to Le Toquet though, so you might have been.
