Flip my miles - tell me more

Hi

Suppose I've got 118,000 airmiles with "United" (the airline) that are due to expire on 30th September. I'm looking for advice on the best way to cash them in or spend them. I've found the "Flip my miles" website and have sent them a message to see what they will offer. Has anyone used them? Was it safe? Would you use them again?

For someone who travels a lot I know nothing about how these loyalty schemes work and I'd appreciate any helpful replies.

Thanks- I had a look at the most recent posts and found a similar query to mine.

I've donated some miles which apparently should extend my deadline date for use of the miles. I might still trade them in via FlipMyMiles but I have more options now that there's no deadline to worry about.
