Looking for something reasonably priced, fairly central, in the next 2 weeks for 3 nights.

Anyone been there recently?

I stayed at the Hotel MacMahon a few years ago.

Not great, but overlooks the Arc du Triomphe and was affordable, so a winner in my book!!

Plenty of restaurants locally, and obviously centrally located!

When I say "not great" it was clean, smart and fine, just not a 5* place with crystal this, persian that etc wink

We stayed at the Best Western Derby Eiffel a couple of years ago. Nothing fancy but fairly cheap, clean, and about 5 mins walk to the eiffel tower.

Cheers guys.

In the end I booked the "Des Arts" Hotel near the Moulin rouge. It was recommended by friends who stayed there last year - a Boutique hotel with lots of character, they say!

I don’t know the area too well, but it is just a launching pad.

We go on Saturday, it is about £120 per night - so i will report back next week.

Thanks

Andrew

Errr - it's in the Pigalle district then. Slightly seedy, but handy for Monmartre!

There's a cracking fish restaurant there - Charlot - make sure you reserve a table...
