How long to drive from Yorkshire to Heathrow?

Hi all,
Driving to Heathrow airport on a Thursday morning. Need to be there no later than about 11am. How long should I leave travelling from Huddersfield? Google maps reckons on three and a half hours but I'm conscious of hitting rush hour traffic and M25!
Is five and half hours more realistic?

Gambling with the M1 and M25, I'd go the night before and stay at a hotel near LHR to be honest. Also, some hotels do a cheap carpark service as well.

thats a 4hr journey in good conditions. can't remember many times that its been that simple though, there's always a hold up with that route.

i'd either allow 4hrs and drive fast [i.e. clog it] or go down the night before.
