Heathrow Parking for 2 weeks - multi storey?
Discussion
I'm going to be leaving my car at Heathrow airport for a couple of weeks over Christmas. Ideally I want the car to be in a multi storey carpark i.e. shielded from the elements. What I do not want is one of those places that park your car for you - I'll choose my parking space and drive my car, thank you. So what do people recommend?
Some hotels offer parking for not much more than the room. I've just booked two weeks away myself that way because there wasn't much difference between that and the car parking fees. Arguably not as secure though.
A leftfield suggestion: there are people around the airport who offer space on their driveways for not much money. A mate of mine did it and was very happy with it all. I just can't remember the name of the website that organised it.

We stayed at a hotel that you could leave the car, it worked out cheaper than the main terminal parking (we had to overnight anyway). Only problem was the bird poo on the car when we got back. It did leave a mark if you look closly, we were not too worried about that though. If you value your paint work, maybe not unless they are going to kep it clean for you....
Pre book your parking. If you do it now directly via the BAA website, it'll actually be quite reasonable, it will give you options, including the main terminal. I do it every time I know more than 7 days in advance if I'm travelling. It's not the cheapest, but the pre-booking saving is significant.

There are very few multi-storey car parks at Heathrow. IIRC only the short term car parks are multi's. BAA website suggests £230 for 14 days across Chrimbo. For two weeks wouldn't a cab be cheaper ?
or a hire car you can happily dump in the cheapest parking slot without concern.....

IF you live within 45 miles of LHR try http://www.british-airport-transfers.co.uk/quote-r... They are usually not much different to a weeks parking.

Terminal 3
Ah, Terminal 3, bummer, personally I always use the BAA car parks, except those for terminal 3, where for some reason I've had a few door pings in there so stopped using them and went back to the car parks on the Northern perimeter, which are open air.Sorry no particular recommendations other than those already mentioned, but agree with your desire not to use valet type outfits.
Noticing someone recommended chauffeur services from West Midlands area we have tended to use http://www.thepeoplecarriers.ltd.uk/
Reliable if not cheap. Apologies for not being more help.
