I'm just about at my wits end with Jet 2.

So I have booked some flights to come home from Cyprus to visit family in August. Unfortunately they no longer work due to work commitments so I'm looking to change them.

So my original flights cost £709 excluding baggage and the new dates cost £639. I called Jet 2 expecting to pay £210 to change the dates for the three of us. I even thought that they might use the difference between the old and new costs to fund the change, leaving me to pay around £140 for the change.

£359 to change???

How do they come to that price? At first the girl tried to tell me that was the difference between the flight costs but when pointed out that the newer ones are cheaper than the old she told me that she didn't know why this was the price, it just was? She even tried to tell me it may be down to fuel costs? Eh I work in aviation pal and that's not how it works.

Anyone else experienced this?

Ok so enlighten me instead of posting a nonsense comment?

Charges to swap flights were £35 pp per leg so £210 in total for the three of us.

I appreciate they can charge what they like but surely they don't just pluck numbers out thin air? The girl on the phone wasn't able to explain the break down of the charges.
