I need to say sorry in style, so any suggestions welcome. Must have a good spa, not just be a hotel. Needs to be driveable in a weekend from London. Looking at Babington House (amazing, but a long way away and very expensive) and Rushton Hall (recommended by a friend). Anything else in striking distance that anyone knows about?

Any help appreciated.

No...

I figure if I pull the stops out with this as a surprise, I get a great weekend away with a hot girl who is great in bed.

Also, I need a bloody break. Every holiday I have had since August has been mental and a long weekend loafing about a spa dressed in a bathrobe for most of the time sounds like heaven.

10p, this being single thing is pricey. Whereas ex-Lady F seemed very happy monging around at home with a glass of champers, something a bit more involved seems to be better for naughty weekends away with new ladies.

Lot of great suggestions on this thread - thanks; keep them coming!

Prefer the ones (like Babington) where decor is a bit more modern, and less "traditional country house"...

It's tips like that I need Zen - want the place to be toop notch; and the websites tell you nothig, and even review ebsites aren't that reliable, I find.

added bonus that the castle was also the set of some prominant films...

Hammer House used it alot, and more importantly - Frank N Furter's castle...

so you'll both be quite at home running round in your undies smile
Was a little underwhelmed by this place, tbh.
Actually, I know it as it's very near my parents' house, and I agree with you.

Want something pretty special.

It may have to be Babington House after all - spectacular (modern) decor and a great spa...

We were at Babington last week. They had cards for an offer if you go before the end of March - 2 people, 2 nights, £200 each. Dinner, bed and breakfast.

Not expensive.
Jesus - really?

Shall give them a call.

Shame - still, may call them to see what they can do on a weekend...

Or just take a Wednesday and Thursday off, and start the weekend well...
