Uk holiday ideas

Going to be having our jollys in the uk this yr, so need some inspiration. We have a baby so need self catering ideally. We live in Derbyshire which is about as far as you can get from the sea in the uk, so nice seaside resorts wanted.

Open to anything except skegness!

Ok thanks the the reply's so far, strongly favouring St ives and Cornwall. I'm lucky in that as soon as there's a break in the weather, i can get time off straight away as long as it's not easter or half term wk. So will have a few destinations in mind then book it and go next day or so.
