Not bad at all! And a Chevy small block! Peter Wheeler should be very afraid.

I think the side vents are a bit over-the-top though.

Definately like that
Even like the two tone colour scheme, would like to see it with different colours, and the way it hides the doorline... brilliant.

Like has been said, from what I can see of it, the interior looks a bit dissapointing against the exterior.

Reminds me a little of the new Shelby GT rag top... not many PHers liked that... I thought it looked the business.

Does anyone else detect a hint of the now defunct Jensen in that design?

Or is it just me?!

Not overly sure of the two tone colour scheme they've utilised but other than that it looks like a good car.

Whens the roadtest Ted???

The reason for the two-tone colour scheme on the show car is to accentuate the way the side vents lead into the door.

Road test will be as soon as we can get our hands on it. And as Marcos are now working with Prodrive, whose test track happens to be just a few miles away from me...

Oi! Get in the queue matery

As has been said about the TS500 shots, photos don't do the interior justice (it's the same as my TS500).

Get your bums up to the show and have a gawp, but keep your grubby hands of my TS500....

TVR should be very afraid...

If I was considering swapping the Tuscan for a true convertible (which I'm not ), this would be on the list of candidates, whereas the rather disappointing Tuscan convertible would probably not...

Need to see them both in the flesh though

Jesus, that interior is uglier than a transvestites' bar fight (picture it...).

Aim to elbow my way to the front of it.

Surprised not to see your TS500 on the stand joust, but Alan said they were putting it on after the TSO launch, presumably ready for Wednesday. Have you actually had chance to drive it yet (your 500 that is, not the TSO)?

For me the most significant thing about this is Marcos's tie-up with Pro-Drive. TVR, Noble, Lotus etc will be watching this with great interest. Not only will the cars be reliable but they're going to handle and stop better than most things on the road - that's Pro-Drive's pedigree.

The TSO? Very nice, although I would say the colour scheme is an attempt to hide the shutlines, not just the doors but the bonnet as well. I would like to see them use the same approach as TVR and wrap the doors under the body at the lower edge and either have the bonnet only opening on top or go completely under the side of the vehicle. The shut lines are too fussy there and the panel gaps (as on other Marcos's) too wide. IMHO of course!

I suspect Mr McTaggert hasn't had a go at the interior and it wouldn't surprise me if that didn't change before production. If you look at the large pictures on Marcos's website you'll see it's not trimmed properly - you can see sticky tape and no handbrake cover. Like Noble's GTO-3R, the interior lets it down. I don't like the central dials and I would rather see a more conventional layout and style.

Chevvy LS1 eh? Mmmm, ten a penny over here in NZ. 400bhp is what the top of the line HSVs pack and they are very quick for a car weighing 1800kgs so I suspect the Marcos will be rather swift.

If you're not satisfied with that you could stick a blower on it for an additional 30%+ more gee-gees (there are literally dozens of US, Aussie or NZ outfits that can provide a complete kit for $6,000AUSD) or get it tuned by Brennan Racing - I was on Taupo race track with their ex-demo car a couple of years ago - Holden Commodore SS - and it reputedly had 600KW of power - over 700bhp - normally aspirated!!!! Shame the guy driving it wrote it off and then blamed one of my mates for getting in the way - he just lost the back-end coming out of a turn!

No - not yet depsite being told by Tony that it looks "amazing", being told by Alan that it sounds "amazing" and generally being told by everyone and his dog that they have seen it.

A few final things are being finished trim and fit wise, and then it's on it's way up there. I think that the TS will stay for the next few press/preview days and get replaced sometime over the weekend, but I'm not actually sure to be honest - sorry.

If/when Alan tells me when it's going to be there I'll post on here and let me know.

Ever get the feeling you are somewhat "divorced" from your baby!
