Fedora hat, can I pull one off?

If I were to get myself a similar item, nicest i've found is: http://www.jillcorbett.com/product.php?prodid=15, would it be a fashion faux pas? Or can these be worn quite sensibly/stylishly?
Was trying hats on in M&S at the weekend, but their selection was somewhat limited...

I instantly clicked your profile, assuming that ChemicalChaos/Mat777/CheshireCowboy had changed his name again.
Personally I think that hat looks ridiculous but that's not to say it wouldn't look good on the right person in the right situation.
I now have to live with the fact that I have responded semi-seriously to a post on an internet forum asking whether buying a leather hat is a good idea, great.
