Retaining weather forecast info. Radio or TV. The forecast ends and I've no idea what I just heard or saw.

But that hardly matters because it's just random numbers anyway!

Skip with a rope

Admittedly I haven’t tried in years but I don’t expect it’s changed

There is an old boy who goes to the same gym who looks like he has been boxing training for ever. He skips for ages and you wouldn’t get a fag paper between the rope and his feet/the floor. This amazes me

Tying shoelaces. I could not do it as a child, so what I learnt instead is to make two loops and tie them in a knot. 50 years layers and that's how I still tie them.

But I can tie a proper bow tie.

I used to be here too. Trick is to repeatedly stretch the balloon neck before trying to tie it. Warms up the rubber and lets you stretch it better.

Sit on the ground. I always end up deeply uncomfortable after a few mins and end up lying down or standing back up, this isn't an age thing, I remember being 8 or 9 at school watching the big rolled in TV and not being able to concentrate because I was so uncomfortable.

Remembering people I've already met. I've offended countless people by saying nice to meet you to then get a funny look in return. That's when it dawns on me that I've already met them in the past. I had a full on conversation with my sister in laws new boyfriend recently about him once living in my town. Again, he looked confused when I was asking him about it. Turns out we'd already had this conversation a few weeks back. My brain doesn't seem to retain this stuff.

My 8 year old and I find it amusing when we watch Mrs. Toon tying shoelaces. She does it the same way as you. My boy keeps telling her that's the baby way biggrin

Bleed my mountain bike's brakes which is frustrating as I can do anything help on it. I could probably do it but it's such a safety critical thing, it's not worth the risk!

Getting up off the floor. There was a time when I could happily sit/lie on the floor, then get up without any drama. Now, I avoid being on the floor, because getting back up is a process of looking for something to climb up or hold onto. I am in my late 60s and years of playing rugby and crashing motorbikes has taken a serious toll on my knees!

Word searches, I just cannot do them. Remember as a kid being top set everything, yet teacher brought out a word search for fun and it’s like my brain turns to mush.

My daughter has them now in activity books and if she asks for help I just point her straight to mum, still can’t do them
