I was once in the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami in the restaurant for a business meal, and six men walked in, (at a guess they were from South America. Quite distinguished and well dressed, not in the least flashy). I noticed some Romanee-Conti coming to their table, followed by a a number of bottles of Chateau Petrus. My discreet query to the waiter did not produce any leftovers for me to taste, but I did learn that the tab was over $100,000 for the meal.

My glass of merlot almost curdled............
