It's just a result of the amount of applicable material.

Anyway, there's been women on these forums for years, although in the old days there were only five or six of us! But there really is no need to make a point of your femaleness - either you like cars, or you don't. There are plenty of subforums on here nowadays that people can join in with if they're not much into cars - the regional ones, the one about TV, the SPL one... But the fact remains that this is a site for people who love cars, so it's fair to assume that new members do like cars, regardless of gender. So, no need to point it out.
I said mostly love. There are exceptions, of which I'm sure you are one. I like cars, I just cant drive for st. That's why I stopped riding bikes, fell off far too many times! My partner, frankly she's fking dangerous.

And yes this seems a great forum ive only recently joined and mostly had a nice welcome for which im gratful, I mostly read the subforums but post in the lounge. I have to keep out of the food forum as I'm offended by meat and every other post is about meat it seems but what do you expect from men.

And some male drivers make my partner look like lewis Hamilton. Crap driving isnt a female monopoly!

I've come to the conclusion the only possible explanation for this virtual daisy chain is that you are both in fact the same person.

There is no way two unconnected individuals could have forged such a sycophantic bond in the short time since frumpy joined.

How? Please tell me how I did that??

I couldn't give a rat's arse whether Frumpy's a woman, a bloke, or a fekkin Yeti. If I find someone's posting style funny and it amuses me, then I'll interact with them. There is no hidden agenda with any of it.

Quite frankly, I think that the people that read more into it are the ones that need to reflect. Not aimed at you personally, DS, much, but I really don't get the 'he's talking to a woman on the internet so must be trying to get into her knickers' mentality. I also talk to women in pubs without wanting to jump into bed with them, weird huh? smile

Thread Drift - but arguably more interesting than the OPs drivel anyway.

I don't disagree, in general, actually Adenauer. It's just in this particular case you are kind of asking for a bit of piss-taking because you are not simply "talking to a woman on the internet" which isn't an event worth commenting on in my mind. No, what we have here is a slightly cringey (there it is again) bit of mutual stroking which unfortunately has cropped up in a number of threads I've read lately....

When you speak to women in pubs do you giggle and call them "love"?

Sorry, it sounded a bit 'ranty' towards you, wasn't meant to. I just don't get the way of thinking sometimes. smile

And yes, when I talk to a woman in the pub I'll laugh if she says something funny, I'd never call her 'love' though, and I think you'll find that I haven't called Frumpy that either.

Anyway, as you were.

You said I could "rant away if it helps" or words to that effect. Now you're getting your boxer shorts in a twist!

I am having a laugh, it's just my version of humour is obviously more acerbic than that to which you are accustom.

smile (does that help?)
