Brown shoes with a blue suit is a perfectly valid sartorial choice.

Look like Irish travelling folk to me. That reminds me, I need to go to screwfix at Aintree retail park before the weekend.

Ok I admit it, we did actually make the trip to Aintree.

Can’t believe all the hate I got for my outfit, I thought i was quite dapper.

David Bowie homage, reimagined during his Ken Dodd phase.
Looks more like Farage!

It's traveller-chic.

For anyone else if you want to be taken seriously/can dress yourself it's a significant faux pas.

It most certainly is.

It may be ‘fashionable’ but that doesn’t render it good taste.

It is for some and it means we get to laugh at them. It's the same laugh when people don't cut off the makers label from the sleeve of a jacket or wear white socks (or no socks).

Very helpful for being able to accurately pinpoint their demographic.

It's pretentious arse and something that has only been invented relatively recently, by people who would like to think themselves sartorially superior, but who in reality are not.

I'd always choose black for business, but even then it's not strict.

Even Debretts recognises it: https://twitter.com/Debretts/status/10894637823870...

Even worse when the brown shoes are the 'winkle picker' types, I struggle to control my giggle when I see them.
