Bert Lahr played the cowardly lion. by your own admission it matters to you that people have long grass yet you will not stretch to having a word ( I just love mocknee by the way)I don't have long grass to fk the system I have long grass to fk with people like you the curtain twitchers the suckers of teeth and the intakers of sharp breath. Those who feel they can impose their will upon others with a withering glare and a word with the parish council. I revel in your impotence to do anything about it
I think you're spending too much time worrying about what other people think. Typical PH post by me,you accidentally stated that your daughter was hissing at cars. I tried to be witty.but in my previous post I also made a spelling mistake. It was just that yours,I thought ,was a more fortuitous one for a PH thread.
I hope that makes some sense.but it is past my bedtime ,goodnight

Did I? The original post doesn't say that. I don't recall editing it - if I did I must have done it quickly.
I was taking the Micky out of the chap who was training his daughter to hiss at cats because he doesn't like them.
I them thought you were extending the joke by referencing your car (I assumed it is a Jaguar from your username) as a "Coventry cat" - hence she was hissing at that too. I was then taking it further to suggest it wasn't a cat identification error but a dyslexic reading of the word "cat".
I think this kitten is dissected enough now.

There was a (presumed) typo in the post about the hissing urchin where the poster said she hissed at someone's car instead of cat. I think that's what he was getting at I was taking the Micky out of the chap who was training his daughter to hiss at cats because he doesn't like them.

Anyway, the hate for big TV's and cats in here baffles me. Why would you not want to embrace technology if you like movies etc? And why the hate for cats? Cats are wonderful pets. I often wonder about people who hate them....
A bit of water to shoe one out of your garden is fine but going out of your way to drench an animal is just cruel. If anyone did that to one of ours I'd be going round for a word. The bucket of cold water I'd be carrying at the time would be purely coincidental...
How would the cat tell you which household were responsible for the drenching?
I have one of these in my garden- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Contech-ScareCrow-Motion-A...
My neighbour, who has cats, saw it going off once and asked me what it was. I told them what it was and they didn't seem bothered that their cats would get blasted if they jumped over the fence.

Have you asked him to 'not help'?
Are you crazy? He might turn into a violent mentalist rather than a wombling mentalist.Lad, well now fully grown adult in my childhood street (parents still live there) sweeps the street most days
He has learning difficulties but is a thoroughly nice guy
He sweeps people's drives up after asking, makes the place look amazing
He also is incredible for neighbourhood safety, always about keeping an eye on stuff
Another bonus is the fact that it makes it very safe for young kids to play outside as he keeps an eye on him

Bins done. The masses of cardboard we put out has also gone. Yet to check if it's been hacked into pieces and dumped in another of our bins.
If we all sent/dropped round bloody loads of cardboard so you had a veritable cardboard mountain, do you still think he'd sort it out for you?Would you be willing to take part in such an exercise?
Do you think it would make him happy?
