Just been looking at traffic on goole maps and I'm glad I'm sat at home, doesn't look good out there.

Yup cant even move on the a6 when we tried just after six, lots of traffic not going anywhere with several parked at jaunty angles across the carriageways. Met office says we could get 15cm, the rate its coming at I wouldn't be at all surprised if we got more.

Judging by the Tomtom live traffic map, snow is effecting central areas East of the Pennines (and on top!) between the M62 and A50.

Snowing here north of Sheffield. Im hoping it'll be gone tomorrow as I was planning going over woodhead to get home.

Its only a light dusting, but we all know what people get like in the snow.

A scattering and they tell you to avoid it lol

Still comin a little here in Ashbourne but as far as im aware nearly every road out of here is either blocked by something or simply not passable.

If its right there is a gritter stuck on Shirley hollow towards Derby.

Coming down very fast here in NW Sheffield - rain turned to snow very quickly and, predictably, the city has now ground to a halt.

You've got more chance of seeing snow than your friends in West London. The cold in the front itself is creating the snow, not the classic wet air bumps into cold, dry air scenario. It's quite marginal,,but can produce lots of snow
Netweather now reckons it's just rain, but never mind, it's still more hopeful than this time last year thumbup

Shocking in Staffs at the moment - nearly didn't make the couple of miles back to my parents earlier around around 5pm, now coming down again heavier than before.

Be careful out there.
