Very positive news...my b/f's biopsy came back clear woohoo

So no operation needed at present, but another MRI in 3 months time. Plus if they do need to operate, they can do it through his ear (lost all hearing now anyway) to prevent major scarring.

Penny-lope is a very very happy bunny biggrin
bet he is too seeing as he doesn't have to listen to youon 'medical grounds' wink

Afternoon all,

Bit of a hijack, but my next door neighbour and good friend is signed up on match and is finding it really hard to meet anyone genuine. She's lovely, bubbly, very easy on the eye, intelligent and looking for a decent chap 39-49 apparently.

Why is she finding it so difficult?

Pics can be provided!

ETA: Poor quality image.

Maybe so tribbles, but have you heard of the M5? biggrin

Amazing thing, we can get to Brizzle in 45 minutes and Londinium in less than three hours (but that involves the M4 as well!!)

Because she writes "bubbly" on her profile? Thats one of the worst possible words to describe a woman. From what I've heard though, it seems that there's a large percentage of complete tossers on most of these dating sites. Women who seem to be ridiculously picky, the majority of men are either married (looking for a bit on the side), lie outrageously on their profile, or just come straight out and ask for a shag.

Wish I could help, but sadly can't ... have a date tonight with a woman met via PoF. Which is a huge surprise, I was starting to think the on-line dating malarky and me were jinxed. Connected up on Facebook (so we know each others pictures are genuine), a couple of phone calls, lots of texts/on-line chat. Meal, drink, see if we click anything like what we have via text/talk this last week.

A 45 minute drive is a long way for a first date, and people are lazy.

Devon is the problem. It's full of retirees, and the only single men in her target age range will be the local povs who never moved away.

I went to Peru on a blind date after meeting someone on Facebook. Loved travelling, so if it had all gone tits up, hey ho.

Actually it was me that described her as bubbly, because she genuinely is, well lively but without being OTT. Sadly I think you may be right about the Devon thing.

My (lovely) friend is also online dating in Devon, and has experienced a good deal of the male mental.

Definitely a Devon thing.

Too many weird men with very out of date photos.

It is a well established fact, from these very forums, that only women suffer from "the mental".

Men are incapable of such an affliction.

Probably.
