The proportion of students who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities and those who have a statement of special educational needs exceeds the national average. The small numbers of students from minority ethnic backgrounds are predominately of pakistani heritage (15 - 20 %). The proportion of students entitled to free school meals is slightly above the national average. The school gained specialist status as a sports college in 2004. Artsmark and Sportsmark status are also held by the school and in 2006 they were re-accredited as Investors in People.

I missed out on a place at the local selective grammer school by living just out of the catchment area. I can't imagine how different my life would be right now if I hadn't of attended a school for retards and being taught by retards.

True, but along with being thick they're all fat buggers too so that doesn't work either.Anyway, back on topic, my brother assures me that Amanda Redman also went to my school but I find no evidence of that whatsoever.

I think I go with Cock Womble as winner
but after Wikipedia (who does all that stuff?) we had
JRR Tolkein (which I knew)
Sqn Ldr Peter Latham (boss of the RAF Black Arrows aerobatic Hunter team, which also knew)
And a few oddities I hadnt known
Field Marshall Slim
and others obscure but well paid no doubt (bitter? Moi? non! just poor...)
and whisper it quietly, I do
Don Maclean (Wiki claims he is a light entertainer, looks about an ordinary weight to me)
Atcherlley Don's dad was in the next bed to me in Selly Oak horsepiddle many years ago (very early seventies)
really, really nice bloke...
