Your local council approved tip/recycle centre/dump will take them. They normally have a little area to one side of the main bins for such things. Find a grumpy bloke in a hi-vis to point it out.
Thank you...I didn't think they'd take batteries.

They're not grumpy though - always smiley and helpful to the point of lifting stuff out of the car. smile

Especially if it's something they can 'recycle'. hehe

Just picked the last of the blackcurrants.

I fancy something blackcurranty.

Which is handy.

I'd suggest that's because you're a girl, but fear such a comment might be sexist so I won't mention it.

Have just had the pleasure of seeing the Vulcan XH558 fly. The pilot was manoeuvring it very impressively for something the size of a county.

I was a bit disappointed with the fly past.

They didn't really fly past as such- it stayed pretty far away.

We were standing right beside another Vulcan watching it though, which was kind of cool.

There was a Hillclimb 500 yards from my gaff and a Biker Fest up the road. Did I go to either? Nope, had some much needed kip.

Had the pleasure of doing a minor bit of work on a friend's X300 XJ Sovereign. Reminded me of how much I miss my old X300 XJ Sport.

Now browsing ebay for another X300 or an X308.

Food eaten, drink drunk, garden gardened, telly watched. That's it, then.

Retirement?

Death?

Battert putting the bins out?

So many questions.

I'm too hot to sleep too - and my victim is snoring peacefully beside me, the swine. biggrin

I'd love to have a victim handy, but sadly going on past experience they would be the type to sleep through heat/nuclear war/anything and thus wouldn't be much good to me in this situation anyway.

I went fishing. Had one bite, missed it and realised how silly it was standing in prosthetics that barely fit me, at night and next to water laugh

There's a lot of fish around though scratchchin

Humdrumity was more what I had in mind.

Still, mustn't grumble.

And, for all his faults, Battert does put together an exemplary Sunday breakfast.

Did you get any kip eventually, the pair of you?

Explain that to the listeners, Alex.

It's clear enough when it's pointed out but it had never occurred to me until you described what's going on.

Now I've got to trace a water leak on the BM so I'm pleased that I'm now wide awake.

Heading back to Goodwood today. I'm taking my neighbour who has never been before but has always wanted to, so it's going to be quite fun going there with a wide eyed newbie.
