Bought my last motorcycle on FB. Seller lived about 5 miles away - decent bike - whole transaction wrapped up in an hour.
You are in the minority. I've bought most of my bikes privately and I'm selling one now. Motorbike buyers either want it virtually free or they run to a dealer to buy the same bike from a dealer for high APR and +2k on the price.

Madness.

Unless the photo has been taken with an "estate agent" camera and is in actual fact tiny.

Some sort of weird suction toilet in the middle of the floor? Thought at first it was Noo-Noo's cousin.

It is the Church of Truckosuarous. Difficult to get a good photo of the place as I am constantly moving piles of crap from one place to another so that I can work on things. That and I keep buying more piles of crap off marketplace and sticking them in the barn. My "Shed" part used to be bigger but I moved the diving wall to create a bigger clean area for the truck......which as you can see is covered in dust.

I have a 1 inch drive Torque Wrench for sale on Market Place. for £15.

Its a 1960/70, heavy duty bit of kit.

Guy contacts me with the usual " is this still available?"

Yes
Does it work?
I have no reason to believe that it doesn't but as I don't have any 1 inch drive sockets, I have no way of testing it.

Guy offers me £5 and can collect today
I counter offer with £10

Guy says that for £10, he'll leave it as he is so far away.

Given that I commute a couple of time a week, i asked where he was based as I might be passing at some point.

Gey then says he isn't interested as he doesn't have any 1 inch drive sockets.

That is gorgeous. Well done!

I had a nutter last week. I'm trying to build up my engineering tools, either to outfit stuff I don't have or replace cheap stuff I bought to get me by. Found a guy selling some dial gauges, sent him a message with the usual do you still have these? If so I'll have them (wasn't going to bargain they were cheap). We agree for me to collect the day after evening and he even gives me his address.

Next morning sends me a message accusing me of having a "fake profile and being a scammer". Then blocks me. Even a week later I can't see the scam of turning up with £15 cash and taking some old bits away. Crazy.

Are 'Esper drills' any good? I usually use Makita but I'm willing to change: do they have a cordless range?

Disppointed to have missed out on this 'perfectly crafted' fireplace.
It was only 500 quid.

Maybe you can dismantle it to top up as the fire burns down.
