New Teaspoon Advice Please

teaspooning IS a colonial legacy in India though, as is tea itself
that said, as some of you will know, I am a big fan of the sub-continent's spoons, biased mainly to the Northern parts of course
Sadly, the trade out of Afghanistan has naturally been badly affected over the last 40 years, I have stirred some wonderful Pashtun 'Khalizad' spoons, I hope I get another chance in my lifetime

Easy to overlook the cultural implications of "putting someone's spoon in the dirt." In northern India the Sikh Dashwan (and various equivalents for other groups) is a sacred object and putting in on the ground would be sacrilegious in the extreme. I've heard of hapless tourists being attacked and even killed for something as simple as dropping a tea spoon in a cafe and so inadvertently insulting someone. I hope for Roli's sake that Jahni has a sense of humour about these things or blood will be spilled.
Don't rule out Raushaus for a podium in freestyle. Yes, he's not yet fully recovered from that terrible triple reverse overhand accident. But, he's going to be determined to show the world that he hasn't lost his nerve
BTW, this year's event is being shown in 3D. How cool is that? I haven't got a 3D TV. But, my local is showing it. Though, the sods are charging £5 entry.

So what was that all about?
JS blew it in the quarters, Geoff completely failed with his 'new' kespersky (the one he's completely failed with on the last three occasions) ....... and Jun-Qin Xiao took it with a combination shaft-push/Wittenfurst which I've never seen achieved over 130spm.
A worthy winner for the Salford lad.
Edit: spelllng. I really must pfoor-deer in fewcher

Whilst you could argue it's good for raising the profile of spoons you've got to worry what is going to get destroyed in the name of 'art'.

You think that's bad!
This nutter lives up the road from me. Obviously we chucked him out of La Société Guernesiaise cuillère.

If I may be so bold, can I ask a favour? On behalf of the SGC, can I ask about competitive stirring in the South and SW of England? We have won pretty much all the Channel Island and Normandie/Northern French Opens and are now available to some English challenges.
We would like some harbour/marina based teams to meet, just to keep costs down. We have our own boat, Le Bol de Cuillère, which we can go on tour with.
Any teams we can stir against? (I'm sure we can make it a teaVAT right-off).
