Personally I have decided that I dont like hot weather in this country when I am trying to work or relax. Its just sticky and horrible and exhausting. Its different when on holiday but its just disgusting 90% of the time here!

If I didnt have air con at home I would go crazy!

Save the aircon money... Move to the seaside.

Currently sitting in the garden about 10 feet from the water watching a helicopter take off the other side of the marina. Nice and warm but fresh maritime air too. Just fed a swan for sts and giggles too.

A cold Becks helps too.

Likely to be another very hot period around Thursday before wei get a break down over the weekend. Sorry MG.

Amusing though - Glastonbury evil

It's a week away so must stress unreliability of forecast.

30.1 recorded at Teddington. Hottest day of the year.

Tomorrow will be hotter, Monday hotter again.

For once I'm not wishing I was trackside or staying in a tent at LeMans! I think I'd melt and only be able to stay there for a few minutes at the most!

Small chance of storms Sun-Tues. However, at long range Thursday is potentially looking as good as it gets for big storms.

This was from a bog standard uncalibrated thermometer but early this afternoon it registered 30C in the shade and 45 when I moved it into the sun.

I'm sure it was less because I'm in NE Scotland and we don't do that sort of nonsense irked

I'm all for ceremony and procedure, but would they really get in trouble for helping this guy who fainted and fell on his face?!

There are guys coming with a stretcher but the guys in front wouldn't know?

Our back garden is surrounded by brick around the bbq. Hit 36.7 in the final rays before they disappear behind the house.

I could do with a quick thunderstorm. This is sweltering.

New builds need to start thinking about this. I'm tempted to put the aircon on in the car and spend the next few hours there.

There is a slight chance of a storm tonight, but radar shows absolutely nothing. There's some nice cumulonimbus here, so there's hope...

Beautiful weather, BBQ last night in the garden.. BBQ this afternoon, had a little water fight with the family in the garden, definitely helped with the heat.

Let's hope it sticks around!

Anyone tried a portable air conditioner and know if they're any good?

Are these things any cheaper elsewhere (about to go to France)?

What's it going to do next weekend? I'm at the supercar event at Dunsfold, don't want it too hot or sunny, and definitely don't want rain. Nothing worse than driving an Atom spiritedly with a paying passenger when you the grip level is constantly changing.
