You're forgiven. I hope that my findings didn't spoil your game and that you have a new idea, I certainly do but I have decided to keep my cards close to my chest so if you would like to present your move we might be able to help each other through with the 1783 rule that means pairing up and cross moving is permitted.
Very well.
I for one don't hold by the Dutch rules allowing for same sex pairing to get a head. I had enough of that at boarding school.
Instead, I'll try the Amsterdam twist and call Picaddilly Circus. The lights are red, so you cannot follow me.
I don't wish to appear picky but didn't the recent ruling on same sex adoption and the catholic church render this move unlawful? If it's not unlawful it's certainly not in the spirit of Torvolds.

Ah, you are misguided young sir. This move is fully lawful as it is in conjuction with the 1829 ruling that any future laws of same sex adoption had to be ignored aslong as the move was not south of the river. So I would say that he is allowed but under current ruling you must change to the central line at Holburn which stumps his progress north which is what I am sure you were intending.

The recent ruling was declared invalid because it was discovered that the Bishop had been practising the 'dutch rules' with one of the choir boys which is strictly banned under the 'Buggery' rules of 1643 which state that a serving member of the MC commitee must not go dutch

Ladies and Gentlemen,
May I remind you that this thread started out as Euro MC, albeit with a few minor changes to the standard R4 rules, starting at the Paris Hilton. [Or did Paris Hilton start this thread?] Therefore, these metaphysical musings are of little consequence particularly when viewed in the light of the 1923 Paris Accord. This very important treaty clearly recognised, and enshrined, the right of all free minded Europeans to partake, without let or hindrance, in Mornington Crescent. You will no doubt also recall that this settlement was furthermore adopted by the United Nations in 1961, UN resolution MC KK1961/251.77 refers, and declared to be a basic human need along with the right of free speech. This gave rise to a great MC renaissance not only across Europe, but also the Americas, the Australian continent, the Near and the Far East, Australia and various countries within the African land mass. If I remember correctly, a very enthusiastic President Kennedy declared during his famous 1961 speech in Berlin: “Ich bin ein MCer”. Since then MC has gone global and there is now great speculation that even North Korea may adopt a version of this hallowed game.
Regional variations include:
Metro Crescent - France,
München Haupt Bahnhof - West Germany,
Moscow Red Crescent - Russia,
Melbourne Crescent - Australia,
Kim Jong-il The Sun of the 21st Century – Crescent, [To be confirmed.]
Mumbai Central - India*
I hope this is of help. Shall we get back on track now with Paris as was the original intention? I shall start off with Gare du Est.
* Note: was originally Bombay Central.

I was going to say that! Reverse, then proceed , wait for it..........Strutton Ground (pre-1937 if you please)
Strutton Ground?
I always believed that rules - or rails if one needs to invoke the Network Rail variation - were for bending not breaking.
I would however be happy to be guided by you in this case.
PS. Notre Dame
Farkles Paradox imminent! Careless application mixing the rules of the original Roman game of 'Ermine Street' with the new Euro-game of 'Send Them All To Britain' has set up the paradoxical wormhole first experienced and reported by Farkle in 1918, when he returned from The Great War having attempted to teach MC to German POW's and Belgian peasants.
In passing on the history of the game, he opened a path into the 'racial memories' of these simple folk that opened the wormhole. The barrel of his Lee-Enfield .303 rifle, now kept in the British Museum, is said to glow red from the 28th of October to the 4th of November in each year - the period he spent in the Paradox fighting Vandals, Goths, Mongol Hordes, Turks, Daquoits and Laskars until, at 10:27 am on the 4th of November 1918, he materialised out of the wormhole in cubicle 3 of the Ladies Lavvies at Mornington Crescent station.
He thus was the winner of the most complex game ever played and this dangerous paradox was named after him.
The Paradox can be used to advantage, but I urge all players to remember Rex 'Reckless' Rexton, who is thought to be standing on a Triassic desert sand-dune, waiting for it to become Russel Square...
You have been warned...

Ah, since the revised editon of '82 old boy (released on the same day the Belgrano went down) than no longer applies, and hence I can invoke Section 4, subsection 3 of the Old Perculiar Rules (ammended to not include animals), and proceed directly to Blackfiers, wearing a diner jacket and body armour per the 1934 rulebook(Version III)

DO NOT CONTINUE WITH THIS. It is the old Iranian 'I've a Dinner Jacket - I think I'm protected' strategy of 2007. If you do continue with this move, you will be visited by American troops led by a dwarf moron who will claim that you are a threat to The Game. Desist now, or you could end up in Manchester...
