BSR going one better in his plus fours this morning.

I have never 'plus oned' and agree with BSR's point.
It is text-speak.
I find a heartfelt 'bravo there' or supportive 'hear hear' is much more in keeping.

I'm not sure that it's the "+1" in itself that annoys, rather the way that so many of these PH "traditions" come from all the new boys desperately trying to fit in by jumping on a bandwagon (witness all the OXO, 335d mapped, etc. jokes).
Even on page 3 people were still adding "+1"s and variants thinking they were being amusing - BSR defused that in his first post and people still posted! All they were doing was displaying a startling lack of imagination and originality...

Did the machine remove the capitals from your use of the word bks? Clever that, but it does somehow take something from your post. As if you're shouting, but you've dropped your voice over the word bks so as not to embarass yourself. I tend not to notice pointless things.
... which explains why i baaaarely noticed you had posted !!
I was genuinely curious as to whether you had taken off caps lock for the word bks or not. Seemed a peculiar thing to do.

Just because I don't post my lifehood achievements after each post because I somehow think it makes me better than others, it doesn't mean I don't have them.
On the contrary. You see, I have plenty of other achievements besides my qualifications, unlike you. SO it would be a bit strange to pick and choose all the things boastworthy to irrelevantly type after everything I do.

NCoT, this feels a bit weird.
I saw your name on this list and thought "Oh, he's popped on to call me a again" and yet everything in the post seems to suggest that you agree......
FOr the second time on this thread I feel all warm.
I could call you a now if that would make you feel more at ease? I saw your name on this list and thought "Oh, he's popped on to call me a again" and yet everything in the post seems to suggest that you agree......

We have had our differences but I agree with you 100% on this

I'd love it if my life was fking easy that I could get irrate about how people communicate on internet forums.
Go on, tell us how important & stressed you are.You don't need to be important or stressed to recognise that how people communicate on a internet forum really isn't worth getting worked up about.
However, I am going to relentlessly "+1" every single post I agree with forever on PH because of this thread. I can assure you due to my lack of importance at work that will be a lot. I shall pay special attention your ones "Escargot", if that is your real name, you pretentious would-be-French git.
