A real prepper is someone who turns their local power grid off at 8pm and makes a note of all the nearby properties that have any lights on at 8.30pm. You then have a nice map of where all your stuff is being securely stored at zero cost for future needs. biggrin
As someone who can run critical parts of their house for about two days on batteries, including all the internal lights - the fact that my house would be the only one in the road with lights would give the game away!
You are merely a true prepper's self funding larder and general store. biggrin
I might start a Prepper club and just play along - I could gain the address of their houses and then just sit back and let them do the heavy lifting.
Top plan. Alternatively you could put a fake ad on local gumtree for a free laminating machine and a bag of MOD lanyards and collect the details of all the local walt nut jobs as they clammer to obtain such an essential bit of kit. You'd also get to see which one has the best Land Rover so you know where your bug out vehicle will be stored. biggrin
S10 respirator filters. Foil packed. Watch them flock in droves.

I like the planning, maybe we could start a prepped hunter force…just in case.

Us old school types use the S6. Note I'm double bagged for Covid and am wearing my combat crocs smile

I prep.

Very much in to things that will keep me alive. Like:

Not being overweight. Having money in the bank. Good relationships withy family and friends.

I’m of the opinion that having access to crossbows and shotguns and knowing how to trap and skin a dog do not increase my life chances by much.

Perhaps someone with better historical knowledge than I can point to the last time in the UK that three months supply of pasta, bug out bag and a hunting bow….with tungsten tipped barbed bolts that I made myself on a lathe in my shed over every evening and weekend for the summer whilst my wife slowly lost interest in me… has been of any use?

The poll-tax riots? The Falklands? Second World War? Terrorist attacks? During a Global Pandemic that claimed the lives of millions?

When those tripod creatures arrived from Mars that time?

Nope?

Ah yeah but I bet you have insurance and that’s the same thing!! They cry.

Car accidents happen every single day in every country: insurance is a good idea. Having a bunker in the woods with shelves stacked with expired army ration packs, not so much of a sensible requirement.
Money in the bank? Oh you sweet summer child. What you will need is a belt of gold sovereigns
