No chance.

Average 1st day of snow in Denver is Oct 19th.

2 days late already, it's raining right now and and due to be 17c next week.

Right. Either you mention where you live when you post or I report you to the mods for being outrageously provocative.

He's in northern Norway.

I'm in Stockholm tonight and it's warm and wet - 10oC

IIRC they got loads last year whilst the rest of us got basically nothing, as long as they (express) have the cairngorms to fall back on the "Parts of the UK to be blasted with artic weather" headlines will continue.

Latest from net weather says that Nov could be cooler and dryer than average for Wales and England but December wetter and warmer than average

No reason to forecast snow anywhere except the high peaks at the moment. Some interesting developments on the models for us to watch, but any low level snow is 0% currently.

Well, as per above, the first snow is expected, and there is real potential for stormy weather next week (as per much earlier posts). So they got the headlines right.

Out of curiosity more than anything else, how does Mexico's impending breeze compare in size to the one we had in 87?

Well, the strongest gust in the UK was 122mph in the 1987. This Mexico storm will be having 200mph+ sustained winds...

Hurricane Patricia is right up there as one of the strongest hurricanes with the lowest pressure EVER recorded and highest sustained winds.

87 was a gnat's fart in comparison.

Only because the technological measurement window is so small.

That's amazing at this time of year. I'm off to the Alpes next week, have been keeping an eye out for snowfall & hoping to be able to post some pics for you all. All the usual places are still thinking it's summer with not a flacon to be found...

It looks ridiculously warm this week, Netweather is predicting 18 degrees for my corner of Herts/Cambs and I have yet to see a proper frost frown
