Knew I'd get slated for it...

Yes I'm 16, but I do have friends (surprise, I know!) who drink and get pissed every weekend, and some of those times I'm with them. As I said, I would still have as good a time sober, so why bother?

Call me a boring bd but it's my choice.
I'm 17, a lot of my mates are 18, and I totally agree with you. Its sad when people have to drink to excess to have a good time, especially when they become right dcensoredks after a few. It also becomes an expensive night when you no longer have control of yourself (lost car keys, wallets, phones, broken windows. I've seen it all.) People know I don't drink, and it really pisses me off when they tell me I should. It seems no teenager these days can drink in moderation, every night starts with someone saying "let's get fcensoredd" Are people so insecure about themselves that they can't bare to be sober, in case they don't have a good time? I think if they saw themselves from my sober viewpoint they'd realise what idiots they are when they get hammered, and downright selfish too when they expect to be looked after by the least drunk people present, people who also have occasionally have had to call an ambulance for them. Downright moronic if you ask me.

Just realised that turned in to a right old rant, I'm not a boring old fart, I do like to have a good time as much as anyone, just not at the expense of others.

This thread makes me happy.

I think it showes i've had a pretty eventful / interesting life so far.

From everyones lists so far i'm struggling to find things i've not done. (baring the very silly ones as lets face it the thread started with everyday things)

So things i've never done at the ripe old age of 28:

Got any points on my license
Injected illegal drugs
Been in a car doing over 140 MPH.
Been to Ireland - despite having been to 6 continents.

I think you have taken it a bit far.
I agree with you completely that people make complete tcensoredts of themselves when drunk and that it's sad to see and I was not saying get drunk in this context. What I was saying with my post is that many people have not experienced being drunk and as stated before I was not recommending or condoning binge or regular drinking or drinking in excess, but just to experience the sensation of drunkedness/merriness in the safety and comfort of your own home with people you can completely trust, like having a couple on a special occasion with family and friends.

Oh no, I was on about binge drinking and that being stupid, being merry, is something my mates and others my age won't do, they have to go a step further. I know exactly what you mean about the comfort of your own home, that to me is fine, I'm just not interested at the moment. But things may change, but you will never find me throwing up in the bushes in someone's back garden. I suppose the whole idea of alcohol has been ruined for me by what I see most weekends, and as such I'm not particularly comfortable with it.

Yes been in a helicopter, yep been on a proper bike (granted as a passenger) and OK I can't claim the threesome - i'm putting that in the silly not an everyday item type thingy!

I see no problem with people not drinking, a fair few of my friends don't drink, although most of them do, including myself.

They all have there reasons, but mainly the one NWT's is probably the most common, some people just don't enjoy it. But still come out on a night on the tiles and still have a good time, and to be honest my wallet is truly envious of them in the morning! Not to mention my stomach that is undoubtedly churning up a kebab, which I would never touch sober.
