All the whiners being interviewed on various news programmes because they weren't able to register to vote, just because they'd left it until late last night instead of doing it in plenty of time. Will they be whining on June 23rd when they can't be bothered trying to vote until a few minutes before the polling station closes and get caught in traffic.
+1

Get a diesel then and don't fill up as often paperbag
I've got a diesel, I fill up about once a month and I still hate it - being a Scot, the idea of parting with 70-odd quid at a time offends my soul. Also, why are the pumps so bloody slow? I deliberately don't look at the display, but I'll be filling away for half-an-hour or so, then look over and it says '10 litres'. Shaking the hose and stopping and starting doesn't work either. And then someone pulls up at the other side of the pump and HIS fills as if a fking F1 rocket's turbopump is feeding it...

^ This doesn't really happen does it, but Diesel foams and bubbles so it 'may' go in slower to stop you from getting half a tank of liquid and half foamy bubbles which then come up the neck and cut the pump off.

I didn't know that. However, some pumps seem to be faster than others - Tesco's are particularly slow; BP (I think) were a bit faster.

Whilst we're on the topic, my own personal annoyances (apart from diesel fizzing up and cutting off the flow) are:

The fact that they only dispense a certain amount before cutting off, Tescos is £99 and my tank holds more than that which means I can never brim it.
You don't ever want to be behind me when I'm filling up for a trackday! Fill up tow vehicle, pay. Fill up track car, pay, fill up jerry cans, pay. rolleyes

Restrictive tank filler necks that cut the pump off at anything more than half flow, mainly on older cars.

Tanks that take ages to brim because they seem to have difficult to access areas. I stand there, pump clicks off. Full? No, look down the neck, there is no fuel visible. Trickle the diesel in and manage to get another £10 in which takes about 10 minutes and then the pump hits the 'max fill amount' and clicks off before its full anyhow.... furious

Middle lane morons who won't move out into the outside lane in order to let you come out of the inside lane when you need to.

Yes, it's only a minor annoyance because you can "brake and let them fly by" Top Gun style and then slot in behind them, but it's still an annoyance.

Probably the same cretins that sit on your back bumper as you pass a truck in the middle lane, seemingly infuriated that you are sat on the cruise control at 70mph, who then shoot past as soon as you pull back into the inside lane. When all they have to do is move into the clear outside lane and pass you.

I find rather than being slow some seem to trip out way to often, I guess because they're running that bit faster than the filler neck of my tank can cope with.
As I'm currently working abroad I only fill the car up every couple of months so I cant' even remember which garages do it

Not being able to sleep properly in Summer.
That really does annoy me, because I love Summer (as opposed to hating Winter), but tossing and turning in the heat with nothing covering me and the window open so I can hear the dawn chorus start at 3.30 and then the daylight creeping in shortly after is doing my sleep no good.

Yeah the noise would be a problem, although it's a good idea and I'll take a look into it thanks. As you get older, sleep does become harder that's a fact.
There is no answer really apart from wrapping my house in tinfoil insulation wink

The fact that there are about 5 separate threads currently running about artificial grass is annoying me beyond reason right now. Why has artificial grass suddenly become so interesting and why do we need 5 threads about it when 1 would suffice? grumpy

Quick tip for cooling the house - if you have a loft leave the hatch open so hot air can escape upwards wink

What I do is select the "pay in kiosk" option and take the maximum amount. I then put the nozzle back in its holster, remove it and start filling again.
I pay for both in one go in the kiosk.

The EU Referenum debate. Or, more specifically, the fact that some people appear to be making their decision based on whether or not they like the politicians associated with Leave or Remain.

This isn't an election. The vote is on the future of the country, not on whether you like the politicians on either side of the debate.

One of my Leftist friends is voting "in" based on the well-reasoned argument of "fk the Tories". No, seriously. rolleyes

Its about the same level and infuriates me just as much as the far right thinking "immugrunts[sic]", "muslins[sic]", "I am Christian" etc. arguments that they trot out.

Tell me about it, though what annoys me about the whole debate is there are no sources of independent information that are peer reviewed by respected and established institutions that will allow people to make a reasonable and informed decision on whether they think we should leave or remain in, is it really that hard to produce such a document. All I have really seen so far is:
  • Self interested individuals banging the drum of which ever way benefits them
  • Propaganda
  • Outright bovine excrement
  • Xenophobia & Racism
Just fk off with it and give me some real information so I can make a decision.

That's because nobody knows. It's a risk / leap into the unknown either way. I personally feel that many people will end up voting "better the devil you know" just like in the Scottish Referendum.

I agree though; it is immensely hard for those of us who want to make an informed decision to get the information. And the sad fact is that we are in a minority and many will make an uninformed decision.

That’s unusual, most places apply the same rules as smoking. British Rail bans smoking and vaping on their platforms, open air or not.
