I came here to inject a little exuberance and guile into proceedings and you play a gratuitously negative and defensive move like Ealing Broadway. It's ok in domestic competition but if we're ever going to get into the later stages of the international game we need to think outside the box. I can see this is going to be an uphill battle.
When I was getting acquainted with the rules yesterday I saw an addendum closing the Southwark loophole in 1986. It was attached to the main Elephant & Castle amendment proposed by Sir Reginald Squires so passed may people by unnoticed but it remains valid. The only way to get round to Southwark is to change at:

Off Peak with One Day Travelcard?
No.
I'll play 'Chalk Farm - Off Peak with a single bought at the kiosk with cash.'

That's totally unrealistic - no way, even with the famed '85 revision of the rules that a simple cash purchase at a kiosk can be taken as a given.
