I'd say so. 85 quid for something to hold your soap? Some high level frivolity there.
It's even worse when you can get the same sort of solid brass one for £40 less at M&S

http://www.marksandspencer.com/pimlico-2-tier-corn...

I put one in last week and it's very nicely made.
Tis not comparable I'm afraid.

I looked at that one first. smile
This is true I may have the same one as the op. Looked around for ages for one that looked like the chrome would last and was nice and solid.

Sorry, that looks a bit crap. Exposed screws and flimsy fixings etc

Behold!!! In all it's concealed fixing heavy weight glory!

8 screws in that bad boy, I can literally swing off it and it doesn't flex, so I've actually saved money on pricey grab handles! hehe

The corner reinforcing bar kills this for me, it ruins the aesthetics particularly on the upper basket. Contender for the "Makes My Teeth Itch 2016 " award.

So, more ste than frivolous.
Undecided. It'd be brilliant at keeping people warm outside at a bbq though.

Had one of these fall off in the middle of the night making an unholy noise and shocking me awake in a highly unpleasant manner.

Swore never to use those sucker units again.

Another golf umbrella. I already have one but this is 62 inches and has a green question mark on it. Just like the Riddler. Sort of. 40% off. Bargain.

Bit of a crossover from the shoes thread but I managed to be one of the very lucky, very few to get a pair of Reebok Alien Stompers this morning. Already seen a pair sell on eBay for £580.
