Not being able to sleep properly in Summer.
That really does annoy me, because I love Summer (as opposed to hating Winter), but tossing and turning in the heat with nothing covering me and the window open so I can hear the dawn chorus start at 3.30 and then the daylight creeping in shortly after is doing my sleep no good.
mobile air con unit better? http://www.screwfix.com/p/mobile-air-conditioner/8...That really does annoy me, because I love Summer (as opposed to hating Winter), but tossing and turning in the heat with nothing covering me and the window open so I can hear the dawn chorus start at 3.30 and then the daylight creeping in shortly after is doing my sleep no good.
dunno what the sound would be like though.
There is no answer really apart from wrapping my house in tinfoil insulation
More investigation needed.....

The fact that they only dispense a certain amount before cutting off, Tescos is £99 and my tank holds more than that which means I can never brim it.
What I do is select the "pay in kiosk" option and take the maximum amount. I then put the nozzle back in its holster, remove it and start filling again. I pay for both in one go in the kiosk.

One of my Leftist friends is voting "in" based on the well-reasoned argument of "fk the Tories". No, seriously.
Tell them voting "out" will fk them more. But anyway, probably a debate for a different thread.

Are you sure? In my experience they won't let the fuel flow again until the first lot is paid for, but it's certainly worth looking into.
Many pump systems are able to queue up purchases. It probably varies from station to station. And it could also be down to the operator - they may choose not to authorise the pump until the previous use has been paid for. But I'm just guessing here.

The fact that there are about 5 separate threads currently running about artificial grass is annoying me beyond reason right now. Why has artificial grass suddenly become so interesting and why do we need 5 threads about it when 1 would suffice?
PH: Repetition and making money matters (not quality).Bristols Taxi drivers.
Just grabbed a taxi from Bristol Parkway as I do once or twice a week to take me the 3.5miles home. Every bloody time I tell them where to go it's like I've asked them to take me to Tashkent via Timbuktu.
I don't live anywhere unusual or off the beaten track. I've tried asking numerous different ways:
My street name, off street name in suburb
Suburb and I'll direct you
Suburb my street name by pub
Street by Xyz Infant School
My street, off Street, in suburb, in general area, in Bristol, in South West, UK, The World, The universe.
All met with "uh?" "Umm?" I've even been asked 'which way now?' When we got to the end of the station approach.
In contrast where I've been today I asked a taxi driver to take me somewhere and his response was 'which building do you want?'...10mins later I'm pulling up outside.
No doubt there are some good ones, but generally Bristol taxis are st and clueless.
To cap it all you eventually get home and the driver sits their sheepishly expecting his tip. Here is a tip for you - get a sense of direction!

They think that removing the UK from the shackles of Brussels will allow the Tories to govern unchecked. Which is just crazy as a) we have General Elections every 4 years and b) we have the House of Lords (at least for now).
But anyway, probably a debate for a different thread.
At the risk of annoying people beyond reason by being pedantic: 5 years. We have general elections every 5 years. But anyway, probably a debate for a different thread.

When I shut a car door and it doesn't quite catch, fecks me right off
I agree. I then bought a car with "soft close" doors. Brilliant in theory, except they aren't. Firstly, one is so conditioned to slamming the door, that you almost never benefit. Secondly, you more often remember something in mid-slam and realise you don't want the door to close. You try to stop the door but merely slow it - and not enough to prevent it from engaging the soft close. One then has to wait for the soft close to do its thing before you can open the door again. The whole EU referendum. Still almost 2 weeks away and I'm all EU Referendumed out.
They should have announced the date with 72 hours notice. Quick bit of campaigning on both sides, less time for nonsense analysis. Less time for proper analysis too but hey ho. Quick election on the 4th day and job done.

Credit/Debit cards. Why do they last about 5 minutes before splitting ffs? My 7yr old Tesco points card is still ok.
You may want to review your handling of them? I've never ever had a card break.Don't think I know of anyone else who has either?
Do you put your wallet in your back pocket and then sit down?

The only thing that wears is the signature, but who looks at that these days? I've often gone for months with a new card and forgotten to sign it.
